I got another interesting puzzle game from the App Store for today’s review – Chuck’s Challenge. It is a challenging puzzle that comes with a story and some pretty characters.
When a player launches this app, it begins narrating the story of Chuck, a game developer and Woop, an alien. Woop summons Chuck to develop a game for him to play. Both of them guide the players through each level with some funny conversation. There are some more interesting characters like Snappy, Blinky and Limba.
The objective of the game is guiding the Woop to reach the destination. The player could find obstructions like locked doors, pools and dangerous creatures. He has to act fast and wisely. It has four game modes – Play, Race, Create and Weekly. Play is for a single player, while Race is a multiplayer mode. Create helps players to create their own level and they can download a single player puzzle each week from the Weekly.
The first few levels are really simple and have no challenge at all, but Chuck’s Challenge really makes the players to think after the level five. After completing each level, players can check their online ranking. This app has pretty animations, good story and a tricky plot that can make players to think. This game has a very good support website with introduction and instructions. It also has video tutorials that present guidance for every five levels.
One can see the hard work behind the making of this huge app and it would look much better, if it doesn’t have those crashes. They make it really hard to play the game, especially in old devices. Chuck’s Challenge is a puzzle game of a different kind. As it is available for free, puzzle lovers can give it a try. This game is compatible with iPhone, iPad touch and iPad.
