I was looking into the App Store for fun games to explore, when I stumbled on Selfie:Wars, a certain new app that I found quite interesting. At first I thought it was something related to photography and stuff, but while going into the details I realized that there was much more to it.
Convinced that the app was made to thrill, I downloaded it and took a shot at some of the challenges. The app works like this: take a selfie and then decide on the kind of game you would like to play. There are four options called Selfie BEATS, Selfie GIRAFFE, Selfie CRUSH and Selfie QUIZ. Choose any one of the options that your challenger has to get through to view your selfie!
To use the app, you could log in with your Facebook account or sign in with your email id. Take a picture, pick an option for the challenge and post. You could even post your selfies without logging in, to make things seem even more mysterious to your challenger, or just to remain anonymous. You could also share your picture with a particular interesting friend or a group, if you want to get a kick out of it.
Gaming Options:
1. Selfie Beats: If you are playing with someone between the age of 6-12 you could try some Selfie Beats action! ‘Squish the monster’ is the word here; all you need to do is squish the monsters that show up on the screen. Once you are done, and if you win, you get to view the selfie. This game keeps my 9-year-old nephew entertained while baby-sitting his 2-year-old brother. I am pretty sure you know what I mean, if you have kids of the same age.
2. Selfie Crush: “The challenge” is what I call it! Take a selfie and now determine the number of moves your challenger gets to make, to solve the puzzle. If the challenger doesn’t complete the same in the given number of moves, he/she loses. My dad and I put each other up to the challenge regularly, and my dad says he’s a genius. Well, you are going to have to prove that every day, Dad! 😉
3. Burning Giraffe: If you have little girls on your list whom you would love to entertain, a niece or daughter in her early teens, you could go with the Burning Giraffe game. I know this because my neighbor’s daughter and I have had some fun times playing this game. Burning Giraffe is quite tough. You”ve got to be really careful while you try to move your Giraffe through the poles, as any slight disturbance and BANG!; you are on the ground. It was quite difficult in the beginning, but later I got the hang of it.
4. Selfie Quiz: This is my favorite game, and I love playing this with my fiancé. To make sure we know more than what we think we know about each other, my fiancé and I pull up a set of questions everyday on our personal lives and challenge the other with a Selfie Quiz. As I said, it’s a lot of fun.
The excitement does not end here, you can use the Selfie:Wars app to view and unscramble pictures of anyone, anywhere in the world. If you are concerned about your privacy, you can post offline, (without logging in) to make sure you are protected.
I have been having a ball with Selfie:Wars. Try the app on the App store and yes, the most fun part is that it’s free!
