If one had to describe Spell Caster, it’s one of a kind word searching game where you would be a badass wizard trying to make you come up with words, so he can cast spells to defeat the monsters. You’ll be facing close to 20 monsters throughout the game ranging from mutant rats to ninjas. This differentiates it from those boring spell and you go to the next level type of word search games in the market.
The start-up screen involves Wizard in the backdrop and cool background music with a play button, music on/off button and sound on/off button. Once you press play you get a choice of 4 different worlds that you need to level up to continue playing with various degrees of difficulty and stages. Once you pick your first world, you will be prompted to level you can start playing on. If you’ve left off at a certain level, because of autosave you can pick it back up when you return.
Once you are in the level, you’re presented with stone blocks with letters on them, count down timer on the top right, health meter on the top left (increments of 5), red bar with number of words left and shuffle button at the center-left and next to it is the checkmark to see how many words you need to get right. Also, you will get a clue button on the bottom right in case you’re stuck.
When the game starts the clocks ticking away and you will need to connect the words by dragging across the stone blocks that contain the letter. When you connect and make a word, the red bar shows how many words are left. When the timer runs out you get a slash from the monsters and you’ll lose the health points and the times start over again till you’re all out of health points. If you find all the words you win and move on to the next level in that world.
There also some assists like revive with diamonds or watch a video to get continue the level. You’ll have a chance to purchasing the diamonds via the app store to level up as well.
All in all, this is a really fun, challenging and refreshing game that keeps you on your toes and entertained for a long time.
