This app challenges players to form as many words as they can within a specifc time limit. Users will have to be very fast so that they can form many different words quickly by tapping on the individual tiles that come down a waterfall.

To begin, players will have to choose one of the game modes from the main menu. Letter tiles start falling down a waterfall. Each letter holds a point value of 1 to 10. All you have to do is select letters to form words, by tapping on the tiles before they disappear into the waterfall. You can submit the words that you have created by just swiping your finger to the right. The total value of the letters in the word you have created determine your score. You can pause the game by just tapping on the timer. When the game ends, the app displays your score, best word and word count. The app allows you to share your scores with friends through SMS.

Word-A-Fall has three challenges – Classic, WordSmith and Rushing rapids. The Classic mode lets you create as many words as you can within a time limit of two minutes. With the WordSmith mode you can form as many 4-letter words as you can within the same 2 minutes. The Rushing Rapids mode is the most challenging of all. With every word you create, the speed of the tiles coming down the waterfall increases. So your fingers will have to be very quick in forming the words.

Word-A-Fall offers many action tiles that can either increase or decrease your score. The positive action tiles boost up your score by multiplying your points by 2, 3, 4 and 10. There are also negative action tiles that make your tiles vanish or clear your entire play area. The +10 and -10 tiles add or subtract 10 seconds from the timer.

The sound effects in the game are very realistic. The app has got wonderful graphics. The Instruction option in the app is of great help to first-time users. To encourage competition among players, the app is integrated with a leaderboard. An option to drop individual letters instead of dropping the entire word could have been provided. As there is no way to rearrange the letters which you have used in your word, users are often forced to drop the word as a whole and start building a new one from scratch, when they are unable to get the right letters.
