I love to shop and this time it was for a surprise gift for my husband. Our anniversary was coming up and I was trying to get him something out of the ordinary. A friend of mine suggested I take a look at an app named Visho. She said it had cool stuff that I might find interesting. 

Visho is a video shopping app which allows you to shop for and sell products. Unlike the images and the descriptions of products that we usually rely on while shopping online, Visho offers a brief video, which lets you know all that you need to about a product. The app redefines the shopping experience by making it more engaging. Cool, isn’t it? The best part of using this app for a purchase is that it allows you to take a good look at the item before you buy it, so you will know exactly what to expect. Sellers, in turn, can expect refunds and returns to be significantly less while selling items via Visho. 

I downloaded the app and signed in. As soon as I opened it I got ‘global feeds’ and ‘nearby’ feeds on my home page which gave me a selection of items that I can buy from local and global sellers. Every feed is like a social media post; you can comment, like, share, and save it to your favorite lists. You also have your own personal profile on the app that displays your shop lists, number of followers, and the number of people you are following. 

The app keeps track of items that you regularly purchase or view, and gives you recommendations for your next purchase. If you are looking to buy something in particular and have become tired of searching through the long list of feeds, you can always use the ‘explore’ option to look up items under specific categories, and also locate specific sellers.

You can add friends from your favorite social networking platforms, invite them to follow you, or even use the app to follow a particular seller you like. I have been using the app for just a few weeks and have sold and bought a few items, as well. 

In case you are planning to sell a product on Visho, you can use the camera and microphone on your device to create a stop motion video of the item for sale.  You can post the video in the app and add the necessary details such as the description, hashtags, price details and other info required. The app also has a feature that lets you chat with a seller for additional information, and price negotiations. The app is easy-to- use, and it allows you to make secure payments via PayPal. 

Visho has a convenient ‘Shopping List’ feature, and a ‘Things I Like’ option which helps you save items that you plan on buying later. The app comes with a streamlined interface, helping me scroll through listings easily when I buy and sell products. The app is compatible with various devices; I use it on my iPad at home and on my iPhone while on the move.  

In spite of finding several categories in the app, I would be happy if there were more products under each category. I do love using the app, and by the way, I bought my husband ‘Bartenders Companion’, a book on how to make cocktails. 😉
