Bellevue, Washington – Independent developer, Mirek Elsner today is pleased to announces the release of GeoKit for Photographers 1.1 for iPhone, iPad and iPod touch devices. GeoKit is an app for digital photographers with cameras that do not have built-in GPS. It collects location data and exports them in GPX format that can be used by leading photo editing tools and image organizers for geotagging like Adobe Lightroom, Photo Mechanic and others.
Geotagging enhances the presence of images in online sharing communities and social web sites. It brings location scouting to another level and improves cataloging. GeoKit has been designed specifically for photographers and provides balanced accuracy, power consumption and data size. All location data that the app collects are stored only locally and can be deleted at any time.
Obtaining geotagging information with GeoKit is a three step process. Because camera time is usually inaccurate and in case of international travel can be off by many hours, we start by synchronizing camera time with your mobile device time. Then we are ready to start collecting geographical data in one of the two modes.
Photography Mode:
Photography mode has been tuned for highest accuracy. With photography mode, you might be able to tell if a picture was taken at the book store or in the coffee shop next door.
Transit Mode:
Transit mode was developed to cover periods when the photographer is in transit. An example of situation that suits Transit Mode is shooting from a cruise or from a car at safari.
Device Requirements:
* iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
* iOS 10.0 or later
* Built-in GPS
* 23.0 MB
Pricing and Availability:
GeoKit for Photographers 1.1 is $1.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the App Store in the Photo & Video category. For more information, please contact Mirek Elsner.
