The goal of Snappd is to give (vertical) videos longevity and to boost discovery for the creators of these stories. The app is for content creators and influencers who make stories but also for people looking to find and watch engaging mobile videos. Creators and influencers can re-purpose their content to grow their audience and boost discovery.

Viewers can discover and watch stories from categories & tags that interest them. They can also follow creators and be notified when they upload. As these stories will not expire creators can share their content easily across social media and even embed them into a website or blog post with just a few taps.

Snappd is fully optimized for mobile which is key as the trend towards creating and consuming vertical video content continues to grow. Discovery is an essential aspect of the app. Each story must have a tagline and at least two tags to give context so that viewers know what the video is about.

Categories also allow viewers to find stories and creators in a range of different topics from ‘Business’ and ‘Tech’ to ‘Marketing’ and ‘Beauty.’ The home page is where you can find the featured section which highlights curated videos which are regularly updated to showcase must-watch stories.

To ensure that stories are quality each user must apply to be a Snappd creator – everyone will be able to upload one story then their profile is reviewed in order to grant the ability to upload more videos.
