Boston, Massachusetts – InchWest today is proud to announce the official launch of TheAppStore, a free web based service that lets users search iOS and Mac apps on the web without iTunes or the App store. TheAppStore provides you the capability to filter and search iOS and macOS apps with your browser. Skip iTunes entirely and browse Apple’s mobile App Store from the web. Apple has never made a fully-functional online version of the iTunes App Store or Mac App Store, and definitely hasn’t built an easy web search tool.
Search for mobile apps or games, or check the top 100 iPhone, iPad, or Mac apps. Apps can be filtered by when they were last updated, their rating, or their price. They can also be refined based on category. The apps show in a single list with the developer’s name, total ratings (iTunes only shows ratings for the current version of the app), and category. Click any app to see its screenshots, or use the menu option to expand all screenshots.
Beyond the advanced filtering capabilities, this completely free app search engine website presents its results quicker and in a more readable format than the traditional App Store. TheAppStore is already featured by Product Hunt, The Next Web, Hipertextual, iPhone Addict and LifeHacker.
TheAppStore is an online (browser based) portal, is free to use and available on worldwide web.
