Valparaiso, Indiana – ToneBands today is very pleased to announce their unique line of sport-style silicone bands for the Apple Watch. This product fills a gap in existing offerings by providing bands with black latching pins rather than the silver pins available on other bands.

The initial line of ToneBands comes in three colors: white, gray and lavender. All three colors come with black latching pins to match Space Gray / Space Black watches. These bands are the culmination of six months of work from company cofounders Cameron Banga, who lives in Valparaiso, Indiana and Jonathon Becker, who lives in St. Louis, Missouri.

“Both Cameron and I are pretty big Apple nerds” explained Jonathon. “We started ToneBands because we were both bugged by the same little thing. We both had black (or what Apple calls “Space Gray”) Apple Watches but every band sold, either by Apple or third parties, had a silver latching pin. We couldn’t find any bands with black latch pins that would match our watches.”

They found they weren’t alone, as they found an audience documenting their progress online through a podcast called “Making the Bands.”

“We’ve never done anything like this before, and we thought other people might find it useful to listen to us stumble through the process,” said Banga. “It’s been a longer journey to get here than we thought, but we’re really proud of our final product.”

In the future, ToneBands hopes to expand into offering a wider variety of colors and styles, and to expand into other colored pins as well.
